Maria Cristina Santos

Maria Cristina Santos, September 14, 1929 - July 23, 2020, Huntington, NY. Maria lived a fulfilling life as a mother, sister, wife and friend. She loved playing dominoes, solving word searches, dancing and had a way of always getting family together. She also loved the color red. It makes sense that she would love red. The color red is a symbol for many things: passion, love, beauty and good luck which she embodied all of those attributes. She was and will always be our good luck charm. Her conversations were rich with insight, perspective and humor. She will be greatly missed for her sense of humor and concern for others. Her strength and will to love is what has kept our family together. She is survived by her daughters, Ramona Ortiz, Yolanda Rosa, Maria De Los Angeles Rosa, and Nilsa Rosa Santiago of New York, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great -great grandchild. She is also survived by several siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, brothers and children. Le encantaba jugar al dominó, resolver búsquedas de palabras, bailar y siempre tenía una forma de unir a la familia. También le encantaba el color rojo. Tiene sentido que a ella le encante el rojo. El color rojo es un símbolo de muchas cosas: pasión, amor, belleza y buena suerte, que ella encarna todos esos atributos. Ella fue y siempre será nuestro amuleto de buena suerte. Sus conversaciones fueron ricas en perspicacia, perspectiva y humor. La echaremos mucho de menos por su sentido del humor y su preocupación por los demás. Su fuerza y voluntad de amar es lo que ha mantenido a nuestra familia unida. Le sobreviven sus hijas, Ramona Ortiz, Yolanda Rosa, María De Los Ángeles Rosa y Nilsa Rosa Santiago de Nueva York, y muchos nietos, bisnietos y tataranietos. También le sobreviven varios hermanos, sobrinas, sobrinos, primos y muchos amigos. Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, hermanas, hermanos e hijos.
