Jean Clous Bushell of Huntington, NY passed away peacefully at the age of 100 on March 21, 2020. The daughter of Raymond and Ermine Miligi, she was born February 8, 1920 in New York City. She grew up in Freeport, NY. She attended Oberlin College Conservatory of Music where she studied piano and organ. In 1951, Jean married her beloved husband David Clous (deceased) and settled in the West Hills of Huntington. She was predeceased by her brother Raymond Miligi and sister Gloria Smith. Jean was the loving mother of Jeffrey (Cecilia) and James (Nancy). She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Katherine (Fred) Arcidiacono, James (Georgina) Clous, Jenna Clous and Christina Clous and her great granddaughter Olivia Arcidiacono as well as her nieces and nephews. After being widowed at an early age, Jean became a real estate agent and then a real estate broker. She started her own real estate agency, Bushell and Clous, which was well known in Huntington. She later married Gordon Bushell (deceased), her business partner. Jean loved the water and spent many weekends at Jones Beach. She later discovered boating and loved to spend time on her trawler “Desiderata”. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Central Presbyterian Church, The Alzheimer’s Association or American Cancer Society.
