Marion Edith Pape, née Herzog was born on October 28, 1924 in College Point, New York, daughter of Oscar Albin Herzog and Martha Amelia Herzke. She died at home on October 6, 2019 at the age of 94. She grew up in College Point and graduated from Newtown High School. She married Robert Mugler Pape on 29 September 1946, after he returned from serving in the United States Army in World War II. Marion is predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Robert Mugler Pape, and sister Ruth Emily Tewes. She is survived by her three children and their spouses: Karen Ruth and Danny Jorgensen, Susan Lynn and James Emmett Hennefield, and Mark and Sandra (Anthony) Pape; four grandchildren: Grace Marion Gambino, Cheryl Ann Pape, Laura Pape Hennefield, and Andrew Robert Hennefield; and four great grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Travis, Nicholas, and Soren; brother and sister-in-law Robert Charles and Lauren (Passeck) Herzog and nephews and nieces.
